Each year, beginning in the fall, Pikes Peak United Way runs its annual
fundraising campaign. Many people choose to make their donation through
their place of employment. Last year, there were nearly 400 campaigns
run in local businesses!
Why Run a Pikes Peak United Way Workplace Campaign?
- In a national survey of employees in companies that run a United
Way Workplace Campaign, 67% of respondents agreed, "My company's
support of United Way makes me feel good about my company."
- A survey conducted by Deloitte & Touche USA stated that 72% of
workers said they would choose an employer that supports charitable
causes over one that doesn't if the pay, location, benefits and
responsibilities were all equal.
- Employees value the perceived commitment of their company to helping others.
- Corporate involvement demonstrates commitment to the community and respect for employees.
e-Pledge Makes Running a Workplace Campaign Even Easier!
e-Pledge is a web-based "electronic pledge form" to collect pledges
and donations from company employees. e-Pledge reduces costs associated
with administering a "manual, paper-based" workplace campaign -- for
both the company and Pikes Peak United Way. It also provides employees
with an easy-to-use, convenient and confidential means of contributing
to Pikes Peak United Way and/or other charities of their choice.
If Your Company Doesn't Already Run a Campaign, Why Not Start?
The annual workplace campaign has become the traditional way many
companies in our community offer their support to Pikes Peak United
Way. Encouraging philanthropy and providing employees with a way to
make a difference in their community is beneficial for any company.
