What is the Leaders in Giving program?

  • Leaders in Giving is a group of donors who make a personal gift of $1,000 or more to the Pikes Peak annual campaign.
  • During the 2008/09 campaign, 1,021 Leaders in Giving donated over $2.3 million representing 42% of the giving for the entire campaign.
  • Both company employees and residential givers are eligible to become a Leader in Giving member.

What does the program offer a donor or a company?

  • Donors have the ability to cover all of their charitable giving with one donation.
  • Spouses or partners may combine gifts to reach the Leaders in Giving $1,000 level of giving.
  • Leaders in Giving have the opportunity to take advantage of Child Care Tax Credits.
  • The Leaders in Giving program creates opportunities for recognition for both the donor and their company.
  • Special recognition events are offered to all Leaders in Giving donors.
  • Leaders in Giving is the most efficient and effective way to help grow company campaigns.
  • A strong Leaders in Giving program at a company is a visible sign of Leadership in the community.

Donors feel good about being part of group that:

  • Represents nearly half of the giving for the entire campaign
  • Comes together to promote philanthropy in our community.
  • Raises the awareness of what a group of donors can do for the community.
  • Helps the quality of life in our community
