Leaders in Giving, or LIG as it is often called, is an opportunity for Pikes Peak United Way donors to maximize their gifts’ impact in our community by combining them with the gifts of other like-minded individuals to achieve greater outcomes. The membership is made up of donors who give $1,000 or more annually to the Pikes Peak United Way campaign either by check, cash, credit card or through payroll deduction or stock donations. (Spouses or partners may combine their gifts to reach the Leader in Giving level). The goal is to provide the bold vision and inspired generosity that invigorates our mission at Pikes Peak United Way and shapes our community.
LIG donors have the ability to cover all of their charitable giving with one contribution, making their philanthropic giving much easier. All Leaders are invited to special recognition events for Leaders In Giving donors, including the annual cocktail party at the Garden of the Gods Club. For those who wish to do so, Leaders have the opportunity to designate their gift in memory of a loved one, with print recognition in the Leaders In Giving annual book.
All contributions to Pikes Peak United Way, a certified 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, are 100% tax deductible and unless otherwise designated stay local to help those in need within our community. Additional available tax incentives include the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit and the El Paso County Enterprise Zone Tax Credit.
